England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Until September this year the majority of LR Experience cars were either Indus Silver or Siberian Silver, a few were in various shades of grey, particularly RR and RR Sport. From September 2013 onwards the official colour for LR Experience vehicles in the UK is white. As the LR Experience fleets are updated the silver and other cars will start to disappear and more and more white ones will appear.

In the case of the OPs vehicle it has all the hallmarks of being an ex LR Experience car which would most probably come up on the system as described by the OP. The nature of the damage reported would fit with offroad use.

Had you bothered to click on the first link of my post, you would have seen that there was a Silver Freelander MY2013 in it....not that it's important, as you say. Confused I believe that the post above mine from someone very much in the know will answer your question in its entirety, therefore, you can move on without getting too hot under the collar. No offence taken, naturally.... Foraging near Gaydon....

England 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Indus Silver

Hi, just picked up on this thread and fairly new to the Freelander. I have an Indus Silver SD4 and may just be tareq but have found this colour to be a rare breed in this area. I love the colour and have checked the paint and bodywork and it is totally unmarked and in mint condition. Car was a demonstrator from new and one owner since. I a sure my car would not have been a LRE car, but is there anyway to check? Car is just 2 years old and is beautiful to drive 2011 XS SD4, Indus Silver (Getting to love it more and more)
2012 HSE Manual, Santorini Black (Loved it and did not want to let it go)
2011 Honda CRV EX IDTEC (Gone and never really loved)
2007 HONDA CRV CDT-I Exec (Gone and really missed)

Just because the car has been off road doesn't mean it's ex-LRE. In fact in my experience the LRE instructors are careful to make sure the cars don't do anything that would cause that amount of damage. Far more likely to have been loaned out to a journalist or some other VIP who didn't give a toss about it. I once watched a respected journalist from a national paper doing her best to destroy a Range Rover - "oh they'll just polish out the scratches".
There's a difference between ex-LR fleet cars and ex-demonstrators. I think I'd be fairly happy to take an ex-LRE if the price were right. They do seem to look after them.

That is outrageous service from any car dealer - I think a stiff letter of complaint is in order. Better luck next time.
