FL2 to Evoque, back to FL2

Hi all

Has anyone here gone from a Freelander to an Evoque, only to discover that it didn't meet their needs and expectations, then switch back to a Freelander?

If so what made you return to the FL2?

No more than happy with my Evoque knocks spots off the Freelander would never go back. Very Happy having a Freelander for a morning while my Evoque was serviced i realized i had made the right choice ditching the Freelander. Freelander2 GS TD4 Manual in Lago Grey Smile .Roof Mount DVD 9.2''Screen~Window Tints~Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth~Retro Fit Sony Satnav~iPhone Dashmount~Side Steps~Woodco Armrest~Mudflaps~Land Rover Sunglass Holder~LED Interior Lights~Private Plate.Evoque Collected 17th Sept 2012.

Interesting.

As reported elsewhere, I'm have no choice to part with my FL2 in just a few days. I intend to fight to get another but, despite the huge advantage the Evoque gives in company car tax, just sitting in an Evoque is enough to tell me that it's a compromise/downgrade that I couldn't live with Sad

I'm sure that J77 will be here shortly, he had an Evoque but has come back to the FL.

Yes, I've had a Fl2 - Evoque - Fl2.

Main reason was I needed a bit more boot space, the Evoque is a great car, very pleasing on the eye but the Fl2 suits me better.

Though I notice now that nene overland do a commercial conversion which would suit me if I were to go back. Overall happy with the Freelander a higher spec than my Evoque for less money. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Wife bought one just before I bought mine, now gone,,,, (the Evoque not the wife)
drove it a few times and I was impressed with the drive and overall design in and out Thumbs Up
Think she only bought it as it was the in thing at the time Rolling Eyes
She did say she prefers to drive the freely - much better vision all round for parking Whistle BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Am in a 63 reg Evoque Pure Tech SD4 today while the FL2 is in for some minor snags under warranty.

I am very impressed with the comfort, and ride. The car feels very planted on the road, and inside is certainly more upmarket than in my 59 reg TD4 HSE, with improved electronics, display and switch gear.

Other than the not brilliant but adequate rear visibility and narrower boot space (although it happily swallowed our Chrismtas food shop with room to spare) I wouldn't mind one if Father Christmas is reading this, and if he is, I have been such a good boy this year really a RRS is more in order...

"very pleasing on the eye"

Did I really read that about an Evoque?

Proof positive that beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. I reckon someone dropped something big and heavy on the back of the pre-production model and no-one noticed.............

Lovely to drive, incredible feeling offroad, but looks? No thanks.

Merry Christmas anyway. I'l have a Range Rover Vogue please! Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

It's great looking in a Show Car / but wouldn't-ever-want-one-in-real-life sort of a way. If you can look past the fact the the 3 door looks like a WWII pillbox, it's really not too bad to look at.
