I had this problem to what I'm guessing was a much worse degree in my old Toyota Hilux 1992, on the cold winter mornings the condensation actually froze and I had to scrap the ice of the inside as well.

What ended up working really well was a Condensation Catcher http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-CONDENSATION...0489542138 just pop one under your windscreen for a few days & nights and it will take all the moister out of the car and youll be able to see the water in the box.

I had to keep replacing them and make it a permeant fixture in the Lux but it should take the moisture out of your car and fix it permanently unless there is an underlying issue. [/url]

I had that problem from day 1 on my new MY10 Freely.
Dealership tried to sort it over 2 years.
Eventually the new service manager suggested I get the pollen filter changed and re gas the air con system.

No problems after that was carried out.

Hi all,
Pollen filter was changed last weekend, have left the windows open just a bit whilst parked up at work and not been so bad last couple of days, might consider air con regas, as does smell a bit musty, although it works ok,
Warrell
Will look at those on eBay thanks.

A bit of a long shot but you don't happen to have the recycle button selected on the airflow controls. The last time I did that the cabin got nice and warm and all the windows steamed up.

Hi all,
Boss bob thought of that but recon button seems to be working ok,
Been out in the car this morning and back about 2hours, I know it's wet today but I wasn't that wet when I got back in the car, just been outside and windscreen is starting to mist again , starting just above the two central windscreen demist vents, I suppose it's possible that these maybe slightly blocked , how can I check? Have changed through all setting with fan on full and it's seems to blow out ok
Checked under bonnet and I assume water runs round scuttle panel and then through plastic flap and out through drain holes in wings? My drive is not totally flat and water is puddling a bit but still shouldn't be a problem
I like the car but this is annoying when I can't get in and drive away, I don't like to wipe screen with cloths as it comes back anyway, Aircon does help but not so good at low outside temps

Odd as the area above the vents is the last place that mists up on mine and of course the first place that clears. I do leave the aircon on all year as I like the climate control and this is known to help dry out the interior. The pollen filter gets changed each year, (I do check its been done at service).

been out and checked car this morning as had a lot of rain overnight,
not misted , but do have container of cat litter in there at the moment!
but in the boot there is a sealeled joint at back of car behind spare wheel, with wiring clipped just above it, small puddle sitting there, but no obvious route in , my car has after market sensors fitted by previous owner, box is stuck on with pad but wondering about whether its been drilled through for wiring access? are there any drain holes round rear light cluster?

Ok, had a good look around car, air con drain looks ok to me, no wet carpets, been spraying water around and over car no obvious leaks! Put talc in boot no water or evidence of it, given that car mist up above vents could it be heater matrix ? Am keeping an eye on water level, any other ideas?

Bought some moisture magnet things from Lakeland, and they seem to be helping, doesn't seem to mist up as much when parked etc , however now it seems to mist up almost immediately you turn on ignition, sometimes clears straight away and other times have to sit and wait for a while, mine just has ac not climate control so leaving it on all time, thinking it maybe matrix issue, am keeping and eye on water levels but ok so far.
Boots seems dry , but not sure if seam under boot floor where it joins rear panel is wet or not, doesn't feel it but looks it, annoying as I like this car

I have the same issue with my 07 plate,I've only had it 2 weeks and it steams up in the same place as yours just above the vents,so much so it's dripping on the dash.
