My 2010 car has DAB, although I rarely use it as the signal keeps dropping out depending on which area Im in. Unless you want some of the minority channels that are DAB only, Id just stick with good old FM |

Looks like analogue channels will now be maintained until 2020. Phase-out date has been repeatedly extended, mainly because of car radios. A high proportion of new cars are still sold without DAB. If you don't have it and want it, there are plug-in aftermarket receivers available (can't remember which but it has been discussed on here). I suspect that it will become increasingly irrelevant anyway as more stuff becomes available more cheaply via your phone!

That looks good. I think that all models have the DAB aerial installed even if radio not fitted. Maybe someone else can confirm that. |

DAB aerial is fitted to all vehicles, just no connections.

I am sure this has been covered before but both rear side windows are the same on all spec cars, driver's side is AM/FM and passenger's side is DAB.

has anybody looked into this option. I was wondering if it could utilise the DAB side window aerial. If a car does not have DAB but has the aerial and the 'stud' connector doesn't it have any cabling from the aerial to the head unit either or is their a redundant connector somewhere in the dash. If the FL DAB aerial could be utilised it would seem sensible to house this device in the boot using maybe the 12v feed there. Anyone any ideas? |

So far I have been fobbed off and basically ignored, but I am taking the car in to them soon to have a couple of things looked at so I will be speaking to them in person.

As a general point I know some dealers on their websites show a " standard " description of what is on a vehicle

Hi there, please assist I have a freelander 2 2012 SE model Whats a better option between installing a 7" tablet or a 7"garmin. I am interested in getting mainly gps but the tablet option looks premium(but seems too much work) previos threads relating to tablets require soldaring etc and circuit diagrams.... Is this also required with a garmin?
