The big mistake was.... Mrs KK was looking over my shoulder!..... it's a gonna cost, methinks!

Just now wondering if anyone here has had any success with it.....and in case you think its a scam, lok at this independent review.....

If it looks too good to be true...

The 'catch' with sites like this is that every bid costs, and bid increments are tiny in order to maximise the number of bids placed on any item.

So yes, if you happen to win an item you can save money. But everyone who bids and loses also pays, and it's the total of all the bids which covers the item price.

I recall doing a few sums a year or two back, and calculating that some of these 'bargains' actually netted the seller many times their retail value once all of the bids placed were taken into account.

You might be lucky and 'win' a bargain. And you might spend plenty trying and losing.

Personally I wouldn't touch sites like these with the proverbial bargepole!

Pretend its like a slot machine. Every go gives you a chance at hitting the jackpot, but then so do everyone else's. Like a slot machine, the only person that makes a profit is the owner, they ain't no charity.

Honestly don't bother - I wasted a few quid on one of those sites one night when I was bored and a little bit tipsy... needless to say I won nothing!

I'm sure there are people on their that do win but I suspect they spend their whole lives studying who's online and what items are likely to go for and then only get their bid in at the right time - I can't remember how much it worked out to be but it's something like 50p of your allowance every time you just place a bid.

its just an expensive raffle really, you may win overtime with a lot of luck, the sunday times used to run such a deal, normally in a special colour supplement
but the times decided there was not enough nonsense and gossip in the paper and droped such frippery to concentrate further on nonsense and gossip

Always dubious about sites that fail to give a contact address - neither of the links provided offer such a facility as far as I can see, MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
