Crack in rear bumper

Insurance agreed to replace.

Repairer claims that L/R keep sending them the wrong type of Bumper.

My thoughts are how can L/R parts people make the same mistake sending it.

Freelander 2 is new and would think there is only one type of bumper fits all.

Hope no one else has to go through what i been through.

I would like to hear all your opinions about this.

my feeling are that LR will send them what has been ordered, are the repairers using the correct part code?

My old car was off the road for 8 months been repaired, after a motorbike bounced off its dashboard, they kept telling me it was due to it coming from Korea which was causing the delay. It was coming via a boat, (as my insurers decided not to use the air freight option at a cost of £500) but instead paid for a courtesy car for 8 months. Shocked

After intervening myself and speaking to KIA, one of them slipped in that stock orders take longer than "vehicle off road orders", explained the difference and it came out due to been ordered for stock Exclamation 5 of my dashboards went to other people due to this.

hence to get back on track THEY DON'T ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH WHEN IT COME TO DELAYS IN REPAIRS Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I asume they are using the correct parts code by all this time as they are a dealership body shop that works in conjunction with its service departments at its dealerships.

What they do in Australia is they supply the bumper and sensors seperate and drill the holes then glue them in.

Impressed with the professional work done, looks better than before.
