Shouldn't be a problem to delay the registration of the car, any salesman worth his salt would make sure his customer gets the latest plate, especially if it's that close to the next plate change. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

True - to a point.

I'm sure there are probably targets to get cars in before the registration change too, as well as any monthly/quarterly targets.

If the OP has ordered a car based on an agreed Feb pickup, and the car is already in build then I can understand the dealer not being able/willing to delay collection.

If the car hasn't started build, then it may be easier to delay. However I can still understand the dealer being a bit narky given he will have accounted for the sale in the February figures (even if there aren't targets to hit for that month).

As soon as the car is gate released from build, then the dealer will be invoiced and will want to clear the car sharpish.

All of that notwithstanding, I'm sure the dealer would do his/her best to accommodate the customer if they wanted to delay delivery - the alternative being a cancelled order. They just might not be very happy bunnies about it.

It looks very nice!! am still waiting for a confirmed date for mine. Ordered on jan 11th and given original date of 20th march but the dealer said the were a couple of weeks ahead would probably be earlier. However no updated date yet Crying or Very sad . Going to ring tomorrow I think to see if it has come forward as I can't wait!!!
