Full leather by seat surgeons York.

Just a couple of quick pics of my new leather retrim.
IMO it looks and smells great. The quality easily beats lr standard leather.
Must say a big thanks to Paul at seat surgeons in York. As the leather took a little longer to arrive than first expected I didn't have time to take my car to them due to work commitments.
Paul sent his guys to strip the interior on Thursday evening and they were back with the newly retrimmed seats and door cards on Friday morning. They only charged me for the fuel to do this.
Great service and top job.
Also got a pic to show the my2013 led rear lights (great mod for £350)

Looks really nice. Thumbs Up

Is it me, or is one of your rear lights not working?

Thank I'm really pleased with it. Had me worried for a moment about the rear light but I've been out and checked it and it's fine. The only thing I can think of is that led do flicker. It's too fast too see by eye but maybe the camera picked it up.

Just gone to take another pic to check my theory and it's really quite strange, the lights are on but when I look through the camera on my iphone they are sort of going off one led at a time in a sort of spiral and when they get all the way round they come back on in a reverse spiral if that makes sense.
Any way the are definitely working.

the seats look great,if I was buying a new car I would never spec leather as the aftermarket quality is always better, the lr basic leather is like plastic totally cheap quality.

I've always had leather but couldn't find the right freely with leather.
But my next car will be done the same as this one as like you say the quality of the retrim is so much better than factory standard. The leather just feels better and I'm sure will wear better.
Also it gives you the freedom of having it however you like.
I've tried to keep it simple and modern looking as that's what I thought would suit the car. The style is based on the look of the rrs leather so it doesn't look too far from standard.

Hey Terrible1

The leather upgrade looks really nice Thumbs Up

If you are having problems with the LED lights flickering you could consider fittings these resistors:

Thanks for that carriec but to the naked eye I can't see any flicker at all it just seems to pick it up on my camera. I will bear these in mind tho if I do notice any problems.
Trying to save some cash now as I've seen a rather sexy Arden steering wheel I'd like but at £950 it's far from cheap.
Can see me having to help around the house a bit more before I get permission to buy that Smile

Leather looks fab! May I be cheeky and ask how much? The one disappointment I have with my car is the clothy seats.

Thanks bug. It was £1020 including vat for all seats and doorcards. They have 3 prices depending on the complexity of the design you choose. Mine fell in the middle price bracket.
I would say go for it. If you google them they have a gallery showing some of their work.
I had a chat with Paul there and explained roughly what I wanted and he sent me some photos to help me decide.

I looked into getting my seats re-trimmed in my 11MY GS, thought about getting the LR logo on either the headrests or seat backs but ended up buying the Evoque. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Terrible - Where did you purchase the lights from? Think the cheapest I found were about £500 from Powerful. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons
