It is as you say, it is Sealed For Life, changing the oil is not easy as there is no drain plug, it can be done though, suggest you try a search on here, there are a number of threads, one explains how to do it. There is also a Filter in the box, but to change the Filter you need to remove the Gearbox. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I'm sure that they have a combined drain and filler plug. I remember seeing it when I topped mine up. From memory, there's a big drain bolt, about 20mm in size. Remove that and you can drain the oil. In the middle of that bolt, there's a smaller bolt about 10mm in size. If you remove that small bolt only. It screws into a tube that goes up into the gearbox. I filled up the gearbox from the top and when it gets to the correct level inside, any excess overflows down the tube. When it stops overflowing you are at the correct level and you put the small bolt back in. Or was I dreaming. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

No, it's correct what you've saw and was reality... Maybe an alternate one, but reality.

When I said no Drain Plug, this was meant as no Drain Plug in the bottom. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Was working from memory and getting mixed up with another thread where the oil was changed with a length of pipe on a plastic bottle.

Well mines on 72,000 with no oil change ever being done to my knowledge but I may change it on the 75,000 mile service. Probably give it a double flush and clear out the torque converter but all it will cost me is for the oil at trade price. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

There is no need for double flush.
