Auxilliary Heater

I have a MY10 HSE, the specs say it has an auxiliary heater. Im a bit confused as I have read on here all about fuel burring heaters, and how they are only for cold climate markets. I've also read about an electric heater that heats the air coming into the cab.

Which one have I got, and how do I make it work? Went out for a drive tonight, put the heater on full blast and it was cold for a few minutes. Having already told the missus we will have instant hot air, I was a little miffed lol.

Is not hot air, but within a mile or two it starts warming, via the electric heater Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I find setting it to about 70% fan speed and face vents make it feel toasty warm pretty quckly. As said, there is a pre-heater, not sure if it's fuel burning or electric but it warms up far faster than my Td5 disco that could go 7-8 miles before getting warm....
