Well it doesn't take any weight off the tyres but it does help them from being off the ground. |

I put my boat trailer and my kitcar on axle stands over winter to avoid flats on the tyres. It is also worth covering up the tyres if they are outside to limit the degradation by UV light. Another method for light weight trailers is to just increase tyre pressures to avoid flats and occasionally moving the trailer so that it sits on a different part of the tyre. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

Blocks will go under the main axle, therefore tyres will be (just) clear of the ground, and also covered in black plastic to protect them from any strong sunlight, should there be any!

Tend not to bother, often move it as I use the van to block in the garden trailer. Never use handbrakes on cars or vans except for short periods or on ferries, not even on site, with the weather up here and shortage of day length UV light is in extremely short supply. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I've got a set of winter wheels, which bolt onto the hub, when the wheels have been removed. A cover then locks over the bolts, preventing them being removed, as there's no wheel clamp on. I don't know if flats are a major risk, but the tyres are protected from frost when in the garage... |

Blocks go under it. Wheels off and in the garage away from the sun. Also helps stop anyone from nicking it (then van that is, not the wheels!) |
