Compact camera advice

Looking for some advice for a compact camera for the wife

Just looking for a point and shoot one - don't need all the bells and whistles as they will never be used. Main criteria - thin! Thin, so that it can be slipped in her handbag.

I was thinking of one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-DM...ic+dmc+sz9

Not looking for value so cost not to much of a problem and would rather get a slim 'average' performance one than a thicker top of the range one as virtually none of the features would be used by her. Would like a wifi one if poss to transfer picures to phone/pc/ipad and GPRS would be nice too, but not essential.

Opinions and suggestions welcomed. Thumbs Up Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9, bought it a couple of years ago and is a great little camera.

Have a look at the Canon IXUS range too - very small yet pretty good.

36mm... feels pretty slim to me but one man's thin is another woman's thick !! If you get my drift. ...
