Romania 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue
early first service

did anyoe do the first service earlier than one year/24.000 Km?
Bought tnhe car early February so next service is due next year or 24.000Km away. As this is the first service I was thinking of doing it end of June (while fitting the front/rar lamp guards and bumper styling pack) as an early oil replace can only be good for the engine.
If I would do this would it mean that the next service would be one year/24.000 Km away?
I cannot ask my dealear as he would say that there is nio need and be happy to do the firsy dervice himself.
As long as the service is done by approved LR dealers I don'yt think that thecountry where it's done counts for much. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

Your service should be 12 months (Feb 09) or 24000 km of last service whichever comes first Thumbs Up

Yes I know that. But I as this would be the first service I would like it to can be done earlier. In September I plann another trip so I wou;d like to do do the fris twarranty service earlier. The ideeai s if I do this in June and next year I don't do 24.000 Km until next June am I still covered by the warranty?
IfI do this while fitting the bumper styling cover I would obviouly gain tie at least as ifI do this in FebI'll loose an entire day driving 250 Km and back.
As said befofore if I ask my dealers they will say NOT necessary and if I ask the dealer fitting the bumper they will probably say - no problem.
Anyone did the first service earlier than one year/ FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

Doing the service early should not affect your warranty Confused

Warranty is for 3 years and unlimited mileage - provided you do not exceed 24000 km/12 months between services there should be no problem.

LR recommend more frequent service for Arduous Conditions - is this what you mean?

The only thing to remember is that your second service would then be 24,000kms/1 year from the date of this service, not 48,000kms/2 years from date of purchase.

Hope this makes sense
