A couple of months ago I had a juddering problem when accelerating that felt like my 2.2D 07 plate FL2 had cut out for a split second and then re-started.

I firstly changed the fuel filter, no difference, I used fuel cleaner in my tank for the next 5-6 fill ups but still no difference,
(I also changed the oil and air filter + the Oil).
I bought an ODB2 reader from e-bay and used Torque on my Android phone and got these error codes.

P061B
P1259

I changed my throttle body, no difference (an expensive experiment).

I then took the Crank position sensor off, gave it a good clean and re-fitted it and everything has been fine for around 2 months.

I did however notice the car had trouble idling in traffic, dropping between 500rpm and going up to about 800rpm, so having already found the crank position sensor was most likely at fault I decided to fit a new one.

Unfortunately it made no difference, and I now have 2 additional fault codes P2562 and P2563.

Today I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to see if they would clear, but they are still there.

My engine management light doesn't come on, and generally it drives fine, its just the strange idling in traffic, but it never stalls, so I guess nothing major ?

I also looked at the "live data" option in Torque, and when sat on the drive it is showing 753 rpm but 82.5% Throttle, Is that right ?

Please look beyond syntax as this is a translation.

P2562 (electrical chain of the positioning gauge for the controller of the turbocompressor) - it says to do ODST (whatever that is) and if fault is identified to install a new turbocompressor?

P256372 (Sticky actioning device for the "gates" of the turbocompressor in open position failure to achieve desired position) - Confirm that mechanism of the actioning device "gates" is clean and free of buildup.

P061B Internal control module torque calculation performance
P1259 Immobilizer to powertrain control module signal error
P2562 Turbocharger boost control position sensor A circuit
P2563 Turbocharger boost control position sensor A - circuit range/performance

The way you report the revs dropping in traffic i would scope the crank sensor to ensure there is no signal interruption.
Most of the above codes are common and appear when its been in limp mode
I would ensure you have a good connection on the filter if you have changed it , if its leaking any air that would upset the idle.
P2562 & P2563 used to appear daily on my old FR2 until a poor engine earth was fixed. Dealer insisted it was a turbo fault but fault never re-appeared after earth cable sorted.
May be worth taking live fuel pressure readings whilst idling and cam & crank scope readings as I have already suggested.
Changing parts is not the answer !
Even live data from the AFM unit at idle may help as a sticking EGR can upset the idle & the air flow is calculated by the AFM Jaguar x-type sport gone

It would be very useful the subcode/type information for those error codes...
They pinpoint in a very specific manner the problem.
Unfortunately, the generic OBD2 error readers, in general, doesn't supply the subcode/type information....

I think my next course of action is to check the fuel lines as oldgeezer suggested, then take it and get the codes read with a much more expensive machine at my local independent LR specialist and post them back here ( Thanks alex_pescaru I didn't realise my codes list was only half the story).

Impact, I did a bit of Googling, ODST is "On Demand Self Test", but even now I know what it stands for I'm no wiser.

The P061B and P1259 code descriptions don't give much away do they.
Once I find out what they mean I'll be sure to post back here for the next poor sod that gets them.

Yeah they do, on demand torque demand has gone out of its parameters but could be due to the turbo reduction with the signal voltage to the turbo.

I mobilizer signal is a regular one and if it clears when deleted just means it was flagged , another regular occurrence , could be a dash fault. Jaguar x-type sport gone

Just got back from the garage.
It turns out I had a faulty battery.

The battery voltage dropped below 9 volts during cranking, as such the turbo gates couldn't complete a full test cycle in the given time, so it threw the error(s).

I guess when it drops that low, its like trying to run your laptop of a torch battery, its definitely going to get upset.

The mechanic explained that this would also be the cause of the fluctuating idle due to the intelligent battery charger kicking in and out randomly, however on the way home, I noticed the needle is still bobbing about randomly when sat in traffic.

I've only done the 1 short journey home, so I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if it gets any better.

& when mine threw these errors on a daily basis all the dealer wanted to do was fit new turbos !

Obviously your chappie had a bit more nounce !
they are common faults flagged by poor voltage but getting some techs to understand that is hard work.
Thats why once I fitted the earth strap the faults did not return because the battery voltage wasn't dropping at cranking.

How did you solve the problem, where was the fault? I'm having the same but at around 2000rpm's in all gears with or without cruise control, also in P and N. No matter the vehicle speed
