TPMS and alloys

Has anybody had experience of removing Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) type valves from genuine Landrover alloys and replacing with standard rubber valves? Will standard valves fit the holes without any issues?
As background, I've recently picked up a set of nearly new 10 spoke 18 inch alloys (standard on HSE) from ebay to which I'm fitting a set of Goodyear Ultra Grip Winter tyres. But these alloys are fitted with TPMS valves which I'd rather not have as my FL2 does not have the TPMS.
Any advice most welcomed.
