I think you're getting poor advice. I've just had 4 Goodyear Wrangler HP A/W 235/65/R17 104V fitted, replacing Continental 4x4 Contacts.

Cheers for the reply, i was told something about the tread pattern has changed and the equivalent was goodyears ultragrip or efficientgrip by not one but two independent garages. first time Ive had to buy some new tyres for the car so not sure what to go for. Ive just looked at them on blackcircle.com and can get them for 259.14 for two delivered. do you think this is the tyre to go for and if i get just the two at the moment i wont have a problem getting another two in the future. what about goodyear efficient grip suv ? or the general grabbers gt ? any info on these. |

I'm not aware the Wranglers have been discontinued and one of the reasons I have them is the design has been around a long time and is very popular. |

Ive also been into my local tyre spot today who have also told me the same thing, they can no longer get the wranglers, the tread pattern has changed and the replacement for them is the efficient grip suv, i believe they are fitted to the evoque. i know i can get the wranglers off the net but have opted to try these efficient grips. |

I bought 3 Wranglers last month from Pneus Online. They are the same tread pattern as one I bought last year which was the same as the tyres on the car. The date code on the new tyres is 1513 which means they were made some time at the end of April this year. |

Rip off prices everywhere for well known branded tyres so I got mine from my local LR dealer who price match anyway. Would highly recommend the Nexen M+S tyres at £98 each fully fitted that they supplied. Very quiet and nice tread, plus good life so far. Not well known in the UK but very popular in the US apparently. Why pay more for the advertising budget on popular branded tyres. |
