Jack Frost

Hi
Has anyone had any experience with magnetic windscreen covers. Don’t fancy all the messing about with covers that have to be tied to protect from the frost. I want something quick and easy.
Thanks in advance.
Thumbs Up

Just googled and found something on eBay, I was hoping they had magnets on the inside of the glass that held it in place

Just seen they stick to the body work, which will intern scratch unless you clean it before use Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks Lurcher.
I don’t know how ALDI do it for the price. My car has no door columns so the window glass drops about 6mm as you open the door and goes back up when you close it. I can imagine this being a problem in winter when the glass is frozen to the seal and I was looking for one that will cover the front door windows as well as the windscreen.

I had a car with similar window system, total pain to get into when it froze. In the end I put a Defa 1.2kw fan heater in the car. I had it set up so I could leave it in-situ throughout the winter but disconnect and take it out of the car in the spring. I routed the wiring so it ended up with an external 2 pin capped plug velroed under the rear bodywork. When I parked it at night I used to run an extension lead out to it and plug it in, the lead was connected to a programmable plug in the garage set to come on half an hour before I got in it. Not only did it de-freeze the door, the car was nice and warm to get into.
