Boot to Small?

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
Says who?

Had to transport 4 x 19 inch wheels and rims in LR2!

How did it do Whistle

All four went in boot with seats up.

Could I have done this in:

Tiguan - er, NO
Q5 - er NO
Évoque - er, NO

X3 - unsure but suspect NOT
X1 - doubt it

LR2 boot space Bow down 'There is thunder' then 'There is the warble of a V8'

SD4 HSE Fuji White (my car): sidesteps, door protection
Golf 2.0 tdi White (wife's car)
Triumph Stag (my 1975 V8 toy - 37,600 miles... Just started its 2nd restoration... had it since 1986)

Tiguan Summit (gone, but nice car)
Porsche Boxster (gone, it was too fast)
SLK (gone, did not like it - lost loads £s)
Discovery Cairngorm (gone,very tractor like)
+ loads of other cars

I agree with you - the FL2's boot only looks small when compared with cars like the Disco!

Presumably there were no tyres on the wheels though? There's no way I can get 4 wheels with tyres in without putting the seats down.

Originally had several plastic boxes in boot when I picked up wheels, when I got home decided to see if I could have put the seats up so moved plastic boxes onto front seat and and put the double bench up, left single bench down as it had a plastic box on it.

4 x wheels and tyres from an evoque sit in the boot area of my FL2.

Granted the third wheel stacked one on top of the other would be sitting almost above the rear seats so not recommended for travelling over a distance.

Point is 4 x wheels and tyres 19 inch can fit in the boot of FL2 - the 4th wheel stands to the side of stacked wheels.

I am impressed Bow down

Previously had a Tiguan so know for a fact this would be impossible.

Happy motoring people. 'There is thunder' then 'There is the warble of a V8'

I had a new Evoque on loan from the stealer this week, and I needed to transport 1 X 18" alloy and tyre to kwik fit.
It didn't fit in the boot unless I put the back seat down ! Shocked

X3 boot is bigger than FL2 but probably not as 'square'

One plus the X3 has is that it has far more useful storage eatures than the FL2 including floor rails with movable / detachable lashing hooks with a net to secure loads to the floor, the right hand tray is actually quite deep and waterproof so ideal for wet shoes etc, there is a elastic belt also on the right for holding bottles etc, a netted compartment on the left, underfloor storage, a foldable plastic box for odds and sods and 2 fold out hooks for shopping bags.

The only downer - no spare wheel! Big Cry Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

As I've got an MX-5 at the moment, I don't think I'll find the boot on a FL2 too small! Very Happy SD4 HSE Lux Orkney Grey,Full size spare tyre,Ugly kid glass.
