Toeknee,
You wont be disappointed Thumbs Up
I've been running my Nokians all year round and covered 36k miles with them. Ready for replacement soon.
Really good in the snow. I should know as we had tons of the stuff when we moved house and never got stuck once despite the bottom of the car dragging on the snow.
Most impressed with their stopping ability downhill on snow/ice.
Top product. The Finns should know a thing or too about driving on the white stuff. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

After seeing Toeknee's new tyres in person today, I was impressed with the general look of the tyre. I wonder if I can get a set for Eva. It was sleeting torrentially up here this afternoon after a frosty start.... Brrrrr I'm not sure I'm quite ready for winter yet.

Has anyone used Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow?

I have used Nokians in the past on a Volvo XC90 which were excellent.

Currently I have a quote of £647.00 for a set of 235/65R17 Scorpion Ice & Snow.

Pirelli Snow & Ice fitted to my Mini One D as a winter set in October. So far so good but very slight increase in fuel consumption compared to summer spec tyres.

I too am searching for winter tyres 265/60/18
currently running Dunlop Grandtrek AT 20's which were fine last winter, but no doubt although theres plenty of tread left, 12 months wear will leave them alot less effective this year!

Refitted my set of Avon Ranger Ice yesterday. Sooo much smoother and quieter than the Wranglers I have had on all summer! Now, where is that winter weather? Thumbs Up 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Has anyone used more than one type of winter tyre?
It would be nice to see some real fact based comparisons.
The only type i can get locally without waiting for a special order from abroad are Cooper Weather Master WSC, anyone used these?

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

I've got Dunlop 3D fitted on the FL1 (225/55/17) and Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow fitted on the FL2 (235/6018) and I've had no issues with either. last year I managed to pull 3 people out of hedgerows with the FL1 whilst on snow.
