Haven't studied the FL2 wiring diagram, but on other LRs each half of the screen has a separate fuse and relay controlling power... Might be a starting point. 2011 MY SD4 HSE + planning some interesting stuff

Had the same problem only it was the passenger side not working. Each side of the screen is wired separately. The cause was a corroded connector below the windscreen, under the bonnet. I removed the battery cover which gave me good access, the connector was clearly visible but the drivers side might be more tricky, you may need to remove a bit more paneling. Worth a look. Cleaned it all up and now works a treat.

I'm no expert but the connector went to what looked like a metal strip, I think, which could clearly be seen going to the windscreen. As I said access behind the battery cover was easy but the drivers side might be a bit harder to get to. Probably worth pulling off the battery cover first to see what you're looking for.

My passenger side doesn't work either, when I looked at the screen closely I could see a stone chip right over one of the heated line elements. I assumed it had just broken the circuit? |

My screen was replaced in July due to a crack. The other week I put the heater on and only half cleared.
