2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue
Pure Highway 300di DAB Install

Hi,

I've just joined the forum after recently purchasing a MY11 FL2 TD4 GS Very Happy . I'm loving it so far but it's very different to what I'm used to.
I like my music and would like to integrate my ipod or usb stick into the FL2, so after researching the various options, I think the Pure Highway 300di may suit my needs best with the added benefit of adding DAB radio. I have had a good search on the forum (excellent source of info by the way Thumbs Up ) but have a couple of questions I hope someone can help with:-

1. Has anyone installed a 300di into their FL2 and have they been able to connect it to the DAB aerial on the nearside rear window?

2. Does anyone know if the premium (I think..) audio unit has a standard ISO connector on the back?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

I had one of these in my old Civic.

Works well, and simple to install ( even if the FL2 doesn't have an ISO socket like the Civic).

However be careful where you install the controller unit. The bracket is hideously flimsy, and will snap, break and implode if you so much as breathe on it in a manner other than directed.....

Thanks for the tip on the bracket, greatly appreciated. I'll possibly mount the controller on a Brodit or Dashmount metal bracket.

Don't forget there is a dab aerial already installed too.

Thanks, I'm aware of the aerial but I was wondering if anyone had successfully used it with an aftermarket DAB system.

Dunno.....but if you strike out, let me know, you can have the DAB aerial I used on my Civic for nowt.

Well.....you do live "overseas", so maybe a beer token or two to cover postage...

Cheers for that, I really appreciate the offer but hopefully I can use the on-board aerial.

Laughing Yeah, don't worry, if I take you up on your kind offer, I'd make sure you were compensated Thumbs Up .
