Rolling with laughter

That's a double edged sword. I would be annoyed if I did get stuck but then thanks to those fab winter tyres I've got lined up, it would mean deep snow blocking my path if I did get stuck. That means I will get my money's worth out of the gear and enjoy the proper winter weather Confused Laughing

Notwithstanding getting stuck because some prat in a RWD car on summer tyres has blocked the road Rolling Eyes LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Excellent Thumbs Up

Watched that the other week. At that moment he is shouting an Eastenders-esque "FRANK!"

Just a shame in the film Frank didn't reply with "PAT!"

Cheers Thumbs Up I'm only playing the 9 hole course because until I have covered all aspects in the coaching sessions, I don't want to hit the big course and mess it up. Doing great with short chipping, normal tee shots, swing, posture and all that (even covered putting this week) but I have yet to have driver coaching. He said we must get there gradually, start with PW and 9 iron etc and worry about the driver later. I will have that coaching at our next session on the 19th of November.

Too many people go straight to the driving range and smash away with the driver but it predominately goes everywhere but straight. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Well, I got the coat today and it's perfect! Medium was just right not too long or baggy. I definitely won't need to wear a fleece etc under that coat!

P.S, made par today at golf after handicap deduction. Best score yet and not bad at all being as I've hardly played any rounds. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Another pet peeve is to do with water proofing. I've personally had little success putting back a water shedding properties to the outer surface once the original has worn off. I've used Nikwax etc and have been told it's actually the application of heat (tumble drier on low heat setting) that brings back the water shedding properties. The upshot of it all is that even with a GoreTex lining the outer fabric of the jacket gets waterlogged. It's particularly bad on my old motorcycle jacket when I've used it day after day for commuting. However, my latest bike jacket uses Goretex Pro Shell which I believe bonds the GoreTex to the outer surface. I have to say it seems to work very well. I'm not sure how many jackets use it but it's worth keeping an eye out for it.

Gortex Pro Shell outer and a Primaloft nano puff jacket under it is the lightweight wonder combination, I bought a heavily discounted Simms G4 wading jacket for fishing from a very nice e-bay trader in Poland, and a half price Patagonia Nano Puff in a sale, awesome combination and the patagonia which packs into it's own pocket it is so light will be going everywhere with me this winter , not just fishing 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
