I'm afraid you aren't going to get a straight answer to that my friend because I suspect nobody has had both tyres to compare. Those who have used either tyre will support it and I have no reason to doubt the quality of Vredestein tyres.

I can only repeat the following post as it demonstrates usage when purposely venturing out in conditions when it would have been better to crawl under the duvet and hide

Just a shame we can't do a lot about the tw ts who don't know how to drive in snow

General make good cheap tyres, in my opinion much better than avon. A winter tyre is always going to be better than a summer tyre, and if your budget can stretch beyond the general, spend more.

The general look like they are good value for money, I'd say a mid range tyre for near enough budget price.

My AT's were fine. Most of my journeys were on treated roads but on the side streets untreated roads the tyres were great. I didn't have any issues at all. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
