Does anyone know how to identify those sound systems that have optic fibre cables? My car is a 2011 facelift HSE with the Alpine branded premium sound system. I plan to have a Parrot Asteroid Tablet fitted in order to listen to my iPod with a clear indication on-screen of what is playing, and the installers have asked that I let them have a look at the vehicle to ascertain whether it has an optic fibre connection. Not a problem, but involves a fair drive, wondered if there was an easy way to tell if an optic cable was fitted.

A visit to installer has confirmed that the unit is optic fibre cabled. Apparently this is good because makes a better integration of Parrot gadget, not so good on cost though One pleasing point, though, it appears that the 1Terabyte wireless hard drive that I use to back up content from my iPad might be compatible with the Asteroid tablet's wifi set up.
