When you engage reverse gear it automatically switches on the rear and front parking sensors and they will then stay on until you reach a certain forward speed or you manually turn them off. If you want parking sensors at any other time you need to switch them on manually.

Well, I knew the lights shaking would be an odd one... but as both myself and my wife saw it I'm not putting it down to dodgy eye sight yet

Re lights - check the 2 bolts are in tight & the funny little catch is biting.

Lift the bonnet and above each headlamp unit are 2 black hexagonal bolts, check they are tight as I have noticed that the same type bolts above the grille occassionally work loose and are only finger tight.

Thanks for the suggestions and I have checked but as I suspected the lamp units themselves or their internals do not appear to be at all loose. This shimmering/shaking I can see near the front of the car I'm certain is the reflection of the lights off something else. It has to be a sharp jolt to cause it. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it and perhaps one day I'll accidentally stumble across the cause before something falls off |
