2006 HSE FL2 Sub upgrade

Hi All,

In my 2006 HSE FL2 I have the stock 6 disc changer/dvd system up front with alpine branded speakers throughout, I know the stock sub is sat in the boot where the spare wheel is but I want to junk this and put a proper amped 12" box in the back for proper bass, my questions is

Does the stock sub built in run from a stock amp? If so can I use this to run the new box direct or do I have to run pre-outs from the head unit if this has any?

Any help would be appreciated or if anyone has done it can you advise ? Post/show pics on what you did? and what I need to upgrade to add some serious bass in the car as the stock just isn't man enough for me and my tunes Wink

Regards

EQ

While I used to upgrade the sound in previous cars, I have been quite happy with the LR2's upgraded Alpine sound system after playing with it a bit. Decent bass without a box taking up space. The stock amp is should be behind the trunk side panel. You can also try opening up the stock sub enclosure.

Just put an under seat one inline with existing one, it's got enough bass already IMO When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car
