United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Stornoway Grey
Quietest tyres.

Looking to buy some All Terrain tyres size 235/60/18.Anyone had any experiences with different brands?.Are they much noisier that M and S tyres?Any other drawbacks? Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys

Don't tyres now have a noise rating imprinted on the side - that's probably your best guide for comparison

Do you really trust the ratings though?
Did you know tyre manufacturers award their own ratings for noise/ economy/ grip/ etc - take them with a pinch of salt Thumbs Up

Tyre noise is also directly related to the amount of tread left. As such, I personally do not think it is a relevant factor in selecting tyres because a 'quiet' tyre will be noisier than a 'noisy' tyre when its tread depth is significantly lower. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
