Oil leak :(

Howdy boys.
My first technical help post, well advise more than help.....
Noticed on my drive last week a small drip of oil about the size of a penny, when investergating the under the freely I noticed a small droplet of oil dripping from the shiled just behind the towing eye
Felt behind and my fingers where black from oil, so with a paper towel i wiped the oil away from behind the shield and was happy I never saw any more oil on the drive for the next few days Thumbs Up
Tonight I noticed another oil drip on the drive coming from the same place, it seems to be collecting in the shield just behind the towing eye on the left if you was standing in front of the car...

Has anyone had any similar leaks coming from the same place Question

Assuming you're referring to the front recovery point I would check the sump drain plug is fitted correctly, they are sometimes known to work loose if not refitted correctly during a service. To access the drain plug you will probably need to remove the undertray behind the front recovery point.

I had a slight leak from a large diameter pipe that runs down the front of the engine. There is a jubilee clip that I tightened slightly and that appears to have sorted it. It could be that you have a similar leak that has pooled on the sump guard and then dripped.
