United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Stornoway Grey

It was a steel wheel, with a space saver tyre. Which is only 10mm narrower than the proper tyre! I wasn't bothered about an alloy, as I'd be swapping the wheels back, as soon as the repair is carried out.

Somewhere on here, but quite a while ago, someone pointed out that the jack is actually a Volvo item, and is (was) remarkably cheap from the dealers. Might be worth consulting Dan, site sponsor.

Scotland 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Barolo Black

LR028800 for the jack £35.02 +VAT from my landrover dealership.

I got caught out with a heavy puncture in a blizzard in the far north of Scotland and the sealent was useless which then led me to buy the spare wheel kit from LR. Total was £129 without the tyre.

You can't have it all ways, no spare, lower weight, lower Tax band. There is always the option to buy when ordering dorm the factory, £180 there or there abouts for a matching spare. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

of e bay found a local guy selling the spare he bought for since sold Freelander.

6 spoke alloy 235/65/r7 wrangler hp all weather £120 never used (matches other 4 wheels)

just need the jack and the retaining screw, thanks for the Pm's on that!

seems rrp less 20% is about the best available.

looked at the volvo part number but not sure it comes with wheel brace?

john

Wouldn't bother with a wheel brace, pop down to Halfords, 21mm socket and a Breaker Bar, much better, costs under £25 and you will find other uses for it.

I have found that a normal car scissor jack with a block of wood under it (useful too if you aren't on a hard surface) will do the trick.

A breaker bar might lock them too tight Shocked would a nightmare to remove with a wheel brace (if you ever did buy a brace that is ) MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Only if you press to hard, it's 18 inches Rolling Eyes use a torque wrench but it's better than the wheel brace that slips p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Hiya all, i sorted out an old Transit scissor jack and wheel brace which both work fine, so saved myself £40. All located in the boot with my ebay sourced 19" spare and tyre compressor and gunk repair kit. Garry
