My Girlfriend in Geneva is just shortly to take delivery of new freelander td4s lhd

it has the puncture repair system, and no spare wheel.
does this have the jack required to change a wheel?

only say that as i have just bought a 5th 6 spoke 17" alloy to fit in the boot.
do i also need to buy the jack?

Full size spare will fit in the boot, there are jacks advertised on fleabay as well as the foam insert to store the tools/jack etc. which fits inside the upturned wheel, and have also seen the plastic retaining nut for the wheel on there. Just search for "genuine freelander 2" and they should come up. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.

Cant find the foam insert?

Thought they stopped the foam insert around 2008, is it back again The jack is strapped the wheel brace with a special adjustable stap, (elastic band) the spare wheel fits over the top, the threaded bolt holds it all in place and the top of the bolt doubles up as a support for the floor. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Can I just make absolute sure that a full size 17" 6 spoke alloy with 235/65/r17 wrangler hp tyres will fit inside if i remove the puncture repair kit?

going to buy wheel tomorrow.

Yes it will fit, all genuine Freelander wheels and tyres from the 16" to the 19" fit in the well, they are all the same overall diameter. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

When I ordered a spare wheel kit from a dealer in Chesterfield ( spotted on EBay, but ordered directly from them), it included the jack, wheel brace, and securing screw for the wheel. All for £240, if I remember correctly.

I wonder whether the best way to go is not the FL2 jack if you have a van, but the hydraulic bottle version similar to that fitted to the old TD300 Disco. It will jack up on the wheel end of the suspension arm front or rear and also on the van, lot less effort and lower jack height giving a more stable platform my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
