I'm hoping someone can help me!
Driving along today under acceleration the car started hesitating and jerking intermittently. A few seconds later a loud metallic tapping related to road speed started, just as the jerking and hesitating stopped.
I was going to pull over but the metallic tapping noise gradually got less until it is virtually not there now.

Had a look under bonnet but nothing obvious to be seen.
No loss of power, temp fine and it drives fine.

Any clues anyone? Please!
