General Grabber AT - excellent all round tyre.

I run on the standard Goodyears and they were great (admittedly brand new with full tread) last time I encountered real snow. However they are now down to 4-5 mm and starting, like the last set, to get very noisy. If I were buying tyres at this stage of the year I think I'd get a set of Wintracs and then get a set of something else in the spring.
Plenty of spare wheels for sale from time to time if you want to carry a spare, but you need to watch out for reasonably priced ones. If you can find one with the correct pattern and a rubbish tyre it should be fairly cheap - you can then put one of your new tyres on it and use the one of your old wheels as the spare.

Went for the GY Wrangler AWs - £600 all in.

A little more than the web site but the lack of fuss was worth it.....

Back on the road now and defo feels more planted.

Put one of the old newish tyres I got a couple of months back with the car in the boot and I'll stick the other on here at some point.

Handy to have one instead of gunk seeing as the RAC can swap tyres on the road now....
