My camera is no different on my ipad4.

I have to say, it all seems a fuss about nothing, apart from using really naff icons for things I can't say it's so much different!  MY2014 SD4 XS

It's certainly slower, looks too bright as everything is white, icons are child like, background wobbles? Battery life is less, why have they changed things, it's not progress surely?

Text is much more crisp though....

No one likes change but change is good.

This new iOS just needs a bit of playing around with to get use to it.
I'm warming to it now. There are so many good features that I'm finding all the time.

No flash on iPad hence why there is no torch option.

Everything works fine with 5S but as with any new OS, there are bound to be a few issues especially with Apps which will all be ironed out in time.

Shed load of updates too since iOS 7 landed. Every time I check updates in App store, there's new updates so that the apps work better and bug fixes etc. It will take some time to settle down.

Just as a brief mention of the iPhone 5S, I will take the same approach as last time. I had the 4 when the 4S was launched and people went mad for it. I just waited until my contract was up and got the 5. So I shall wait until November 2014 and have the iPhone 6 which should be out by then (if it isn't I will wait for it). LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

To stop the background moving and to save on battery life:
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion -> ON.

In Accessibility you can also make the font larger and changed to bold if needs be.

I've just read that when using Control Centre whilst the phone is locked, undesirables can turn on Flight Mode renderering Find My iPhone/IPad useless. I would suggest people should turn this feature off until this issue is sorted.

Settings> Control Centre> Access on Lock Screen to 'Off'.

A word of warning guys n gals, if you are in camera mode & shut down the phone or iPad, using the control centre bypasses passwords etc & gives you full access to your device. I would suggest turning control centre off to avoid any issues until Apple fix this bug.  MY2014 SD4 XS

It looks like there may be a few issues relating to Control Centre whilst in locked screen mode.
By the looks of it, Apple are looking into this and no doubt it will (hopefully) be fixed in the next update.

Best to turn it off for the time being:
Settings> Control Centre> Access on Lock Screen to 'Off'

1: Do you mean camera mode accessed when phone is unlocked or accessed from the locked screen/control centre?

2: When the phone reboots, what do you need to do on the control centre to gain full access to the phone?

I've shut down in both versions of my first question but can't get past the lock screen using control centre

If you are in camera mode, then try to shut down, you can access the camera from the control centre. Using the camera, you can view picture files and from there, back into the whole phone when it should be shut down and switched off!

I have not done this myself as I only have an android, but a relative (who is more tetchy than I and had access to the beta) showed it to me in action and was able to gain access to his whole phone, aps everything when it should have been shut down and switched off. As soon as I saw this, I turned off control centre from lock screen, this seems to prevent access, but it is quite worrying that apple can release a product that the beta testers have told them is not secure!  MY2014 SD4 XS

Cheers Thumbs Up

I googled it and it seems that it gives access to pics, Facebook, Twitter etc and emails but not the phone in its entirety.

Still bad though so I will disable control centre until Apple fix it LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
