The tick, tick tick, tick from the rear.

Somebody will be able to answer this I'm sure.

There's been multiple discussions on the Forum as to what the whine is under the bonnet on shutting the engine/ignition off on the FL2. But does anybody know what the 4 ticks/clicks are from the rear of the car that happens shortly afterwards? This happens on my MY13, but I'm sure it never happened on the MY11 I had.

ad210358 - cheque payable please! Surprised - the parking brake is a definite and obvious whirr.

Nope, this is shortly after the engine is turned off and then there are 4 consecutive clicks - I wonder if maybe it's something to do with the fuel system.

Somebody on here must know? Very Happy

My D4 does it, doesn't it check the pressure to allow for cooling of the brakes so the brake doesn't release as it cools down Question p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Electronic Parking Brake will adjust automatically as the brakes cool down to ensure sufficient pressure is maintained.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Indus Silver

I've noticed that on my MY13 and will be crawling under the rear tomorrow after shut-down. 2007 SE Manual : Gone and missed but 2013 HSE Lux is better!
Series IIa : Gone but hopefully still alive.
