United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black
Roof rails for twin sunroof

Picking up my new (to me) my07 SE in santorini black next week.
Need to get some roof rails and cross rails. Are there any OEM rails available or am I stuck with LR? Can't seem to find others.
Looks like 290 quid for LR versions. Big Cry also are there slim crossbars available like SWMBO's D3 LR crossbars ?

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

I bought aftermarket rails from eBay and a pair of pukka LR cross bars to carry a roof box. Very happy with both.

Here is the link to the rails....

The rails take a bit of fettling to install.

You might get Thule cross bars to fit the rails. garioch43

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I have a pair of Thule aero bars complete with three bike racks that I may be selling.

I am thinking of going to a tailgate mounted bike carrier as I got screwed by Brittany Ferries this year for the height. Somthing they have never checked before in 7 trips to France. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Thanks for this. When you say 'fettling' do you mean a bit of easing in or 'Oh good grief, I need a workshop' ?

@Mav71

Did you ever go for a rear bike carrier? if so which one, and I assume its suitable for towing at the same time?
