Has anybody got advice please on repairing Merc LED third brake lights?

My sons SL500 57 plate has the third centre brake light in the boot lid lip. About 5 leds have extinguished.
Next weekend ill take the unit out, is it a case of visiting Maplins to buy some solder in replacements?

I do hope somebody can advise.
