United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue
TurtleWax Color Magic Blue and T-Cut Colour-Fast

Does anyone have any experience of the above Product(s), or if not specifically Blue, then any other colour? I would be interested in hearing opinions of this product, and whether it's any good or not before I part with my hard-earned.

The Dustman has clipped my front wing with the wheelie bin today; no dents, but 2 scratches...one I think will buff out with AG SRP, but the other, all half an inch of it, is down to the white base coat/primer, so definitely won't.

It may be useful to hear about other products, preferably to treat a Baltic Blue finish, that may do the job as well.

Thanks in advance.... Thumbs Up Foraging near Gaydon....

Can you not claim the repair off them?

I'm not sure what they are like now, but when the coloured polish came about, I didn't think much of them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If it's down to the white primer you'll need to get a touch up from LR. Coloured polish wont do it IMHO

Never had any problems with other Turtle Wax products. Only tried the Color black and it was good. Now I use their Rapid Drying Shampoo, also very good. It was on offer in Halfords for 」1 a bottle! Bow down

It's all about proof with anyone these days Nick. I don't like to cave in without a fight, but I know I'm on a hiding to nothing even trying with Stratford D.C.

I have to say, I last used one on my green Omega MV6 about 11 years ago (Colormagic I think), and thought it was pretty poor then. Was hoping the technology might have moved on a bit by now, hence the question.

I have a touch-up in the glovebox, but I know that it will look crap if I try to use it, owing to the high light refraction through the clear coat. Was going to try and mask/fill it and then seal it if at all possible, hence the OP. Foraging near Gaydon....

I have seen the blue stuff used, complete rubbish, washes off leaving a blue scum behind.
Get a claim in if they have scuffed it.

From experience Baltic Blus is almost impossible to hide scratches on. I've tried Turtle, so called magic scratch sticks and various other products. Even LR paint sticks can come out as a different colour. Best result I had was from a traditional paint shop who did a three inch scratch on front bumper for about 」130 and you couldn't tell it had been done afterwards.

Chipsaway is the way to go by the sounds of it.... Used them before to do the front back and 2 doors on my jeep before it went,,, did the complete back bumper and front bumper and lower half 2 doors for 」220 spent all day on it and came out flawless Very Happy
Colour magic & Tcut colour fast might get rid of small marks and scratches but the only thing with them products is after a few washes they return Sad

Best with with chipsaway is they come to you Thumbs Up BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

paint kits

I had a lot of road rash/stone chips and a few scratches on my last car. Used a paint kit from chipex, with matched paint and came with blending solution which allows you to remove excess paint. Kit came with paint, bending solution, polish and a collection of cloths, brushes and gloves so no need to buy anything else.

I found it very easy to use and did a great job with the stone chips and road rash. I'd never used touch up paint before so had quite a few attempts at the scratches (use the solution and rub harder removes all paint so you can start again). There are a few companies that do similar. Also found the paint match to be very good.
