Speed Cameras 2013 MY

I bought the camera database from Speedcams and installed it last week. You just put the various files onto a USB stick. You have a .GPX file and a .BMP file for each file. The queer thing is that you can only load a few files onto the car at a time. My database had 17 camera files (along with 17 BMP files) and I had to load then four at a time. The best thing is to split the 17 files into four folders. You can the load a folder at a time. After loading the camera files you can edit them separately to show the file on the map (default is 'on') and to have an audible warning (default is 'off').

I used the database near Leeds last week and found it to be worse than useless. I try to stay in the limit anyway and in this area there are hundreds of cameras and the constant 'bonging' is a real nuisance. Plus, when we went out for a trial run on Thursday we turned around in the grounds of a factory and the factory burned to the ground on Friday.

Dont speed..... simples.

Although I do believe they should mark speeds on them because now we have the new 20's its like roulette trying to guess what is right.... ie anchors on and stare at speedo and not the road....

I too have installed the speed camera database file & icon via USB, but haven't found the way to "warn" of these or any POI. Suggestions welcome. Wink

You go into nav settings, my POIs. There is a function to turn on and off audio warnings. If you can't find it come back and I'll go out to the car and get the exact steps.
