Dealer did not supply a service book in with my info pack,...claiming LR do all servicing with a online service check to that vehicle,..... This means if u have a service with a independent LR garage they can't update ur service history which is stored only with LR main dealers!....any one else had this latly? Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Came out in April, the days of the book are coming to an end, genuine service will be on line, if you go to an Indy then you will have to keep your reciepts as proof of service.

I have heard this, and raised it with my supplying dealer when collecting my MY2013. This one came with a Service Book, and was told that they all will until the end of the year. A blank Service Book goes for hundreds on the Black Market, and I had the same problem with Stratstone on the MY2012-no book. Get back on to your supplying Dealer, and INSIST on a replacement Service Portfolio...don't be fobbed off. Foraging near Gaydon....

@iain I guess it would mean the seller paying LR a fee to have a print out

Not sure if it helps you but when I bought my FL2 from an LR Main Dealer it was 1.5 years old and there was no service history book. This was a deal-breaker for me and so the salesman obtained an official LR booklet called a ' Replacement Service Portfolio ' and sent it to the dealer who had done the 12 month service and it came back all stamped up which was fine by me. All depends where you sell it, if you trade it in with an LR dealer, they will have full access to it. Those who have their service elsewhere might want to have a book and keep all the invoices. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

If you keep all your invoices its better than a book, you can get a book off the net, and fill it in and a few smudgy stamps, in the book it will just have a date, stamp and which service, its easily forged, if you've kept all your invoices its all there, mileage, dates, what was fitted. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Others have said that the off road voucher now comes direct from LR and not from the dealer now, could be something to do with the amount of vouchers that were in circulation. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I got my voucher through the post about a month after I got the car, haven't used it yet but you get a year from the date of issue to use it. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |
