Elton John at Leeds Arena last night.

Just returned from Leeds, where I saw a quite amazing performance from him at the new Leeds Arena last night. Great venue, and IMHO knocks the MEN Arena into a cocked hat.

The performance was pretty good as well.....not bad for an old 'un! Thumbs Up Foraging near Gaydon....

Hi,

Glad you enjoyed him! About 4-5 years ago we went at the bequest of some very good friends to see him 'perform' at the Oxford United Football ground (abet not his largest venue). He helicoptered into an adjacent field 15 mins before the start, driven in a Limo, must have been 500 yards, surrounded by the usual heavy's, managed to walk up the stairs on the stage unassisted, and proceeded to perform all his standard hits (which we both think are great, btw), just one after another, almost monolog fashion, no interaction with the crowd, never managed to raise a smile even......and then left, just walked off stage!! Sad

Maybe had a hissy-fit with David earlier I guess Rolling Eyes Kola is the big solid black German Shepherd, Dobbie is.......a breed you've never heard of......yet;)

Andrea Bocelli is playing in November.....he is fantastic live, and well worth a shout. Also in the same month, from my 80's revival days, so are Basildon's finest...the one and only Depeché Mode. Now THAT could be a lot of fun! Very Happy Foraging near Gaydon....
