recently bought a freelander 2 and when im slowing down on a left hand turn and go t accelerate ,the car starts holding back like its starved of fuel ...any ideas

I'm not sure Rab, there are loads of posts on here if you want to do a search. I'm not saying its the fuel filter but I've seen quite a lot of fuel related issues that changing the fuel filter solves the issue.

Mine started by a lurch like a petrol engined flat spot when accelerating in 2nd between 1000 - 2000 rpm after turning left but no fault codes were recorded. LR are aware of the problem, a recent software fix to calibrate the EGR valve to Turbo has not cured the issue. i suggest talking to your main dealer so that the extent of this problem is documented. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.
