Watch the muppet in the drophead Audi coming up the slip road Censored

Caught it yesterday after collecting my car from the garage, the camera was checked after Hunters Land Rover had it and I have to say they were impeccable when my car was tested Thumbs Up

Well avoided Aiiex Laughing
Just of interest, how do you get on top with the Blackvue and heat being a problem, over the summer here mine gets red hot in the sun, I know one member has had a unit replaced as it borked in the heat.
Your unit must be baking pretty much in the Perth sunshine?

I only installed it a few months ago so it hasn't felt any real heat yet. It gets fairly hot as it is so I'll be watching out to see how it goes during the summer months.

Sent mine back yesterday! Sad
I noticed the video quality had degraded considerably over a 2 month period (can't be precise as I only check it once a month) to the state where it looks like you're driving through a slight haze and any change in lighting conditions (sun coming from behind a cloud) results in an almost total white-out for a good few seconds (think the sensor is on the way out).
Appears to be a similar problem to what others have been reporting after the unit is left switched on and recording in park mode in full sunlight. I did notice on a couple occasions after leaving it in park mode for several hours on a warm day, that it was pretty hot to touch.
The blackvue 500G doesn't appear to suffer the same problem due to the extra holes along the top and the larger size of the unit, which some are saying allows for the internal components to be spaced out better creating less heat.
I'll report back when I've heard from the retailer. Thumbs Up

Well the car has been outside for most of the day.
Showed 44 degrees when I got back in the car. Blackvue was red hot to the touch.
Driving along it's settled down to 38 degrees. Currently parked up at a winery for more "stock". Tested the camera and it's fine for now.

Just wonder how much heat the memory card can take though.
