Am I being selfish?

Okay, so I work in Aberdeen and therefore have a one bed flat, and are they expensive in Aberdeen. The flat costs more than my four bed detached, with three bathrooms, three garages, three reception rooms and a cinema room in Ayrshire. Anyhow, what gets my goat is this - since I have to park outside I am fed up with the cretins who insist nudging my FL2 when parking, their cars into a bloody space that technically their car cannot possibly fit into. yeah they just run in to it, no damage thus far but it is bound to happen. Anyway, had a tow bar fitted as it was required for towing duties, even though it is a removable I have left it on to deter the nudging - it hasn't. Censored

By the way I watched what looked like a 12 year old girl use her Nissan Micra like a dodgem car, nudged both cars until her car was securely parked, could not believe it, was really going to go out and ask if I could show her how to park - but decided better of it!

So I plan the fitting of a bike rack so that will at least keep the critters away from my paint work (the measures one has to take) Shocked

So can anyone recommend a lockable bike rack that is suitable for a removable swan neck.

Appreciate your help/thoughts

Must be nice to be able to afford a bike rack just to prevent minor damage Rolling Eyes

Taz, I do have two mountain bikes that I shall be taking on holiday in the future so it is an expenditure with a reason - just fed up of couldn't care less lunatics who do not respect other people's property.

After all, it is not me nudging cars is it?

Besides, bike racks are relatively cheep in comparison to the cost of a FL2 - £150 ish against £30k ish

It is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned, or do you think differently? 'There is thunder' then 'There is the warble of a V8'

Hey, thanks Barton that looks pretty good - it is called a diamant, I have a Fendt Diamant caravan parked up on the Swiss border, so will defo give this a heads up.

I assume that you have good service from this bike rack and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Once again thank you, as a recommendation from a current user is more than we can ask for.

Hi oldgeezer,

Thanks for the info, I do intend to go down this route of fitting cameras as you have suggested into my car and the wife's so have been reading this info with interest on the forum. However, I would much prefer nil damage as oppose to damage even if I did have camera's.

In today 's world, I find that the car repair industry is not a patch on what it used to be - wow that will cause a storm with some - so try to avoid repairs like the plague.

Once again thanks - cameras are a necessity as far as I am concerned!

If you have bikes then it will be put to good use, seemed excessive just to stop a scratch Thumbs Up

I will second the camera though, have one myself, and it is set very sensitive and i always park to maximise coverage of any 'nudgers'

Cheers taz,

Would not consider it if I did not have bikes and the camera route seems to have a large following so all cannot be wrong, just need to get my act together and join the fold!
