Haha - that's a bead seating tool - I sometimes have to use one at work. Basically you fill it with air to about 80psi or more, rest the nozzle on the wheel rim and knock the valve open and a HUGE blast of air entrers the tyre to seat it on the rim. You need them when you are fitting a tyre that is a bit too 'floppy' or has been sat at a bottom of a pile of tyres and has 'set' with the walls too close together to touch both sides of the rim preventing a 'normal' air line to inflate the tyre as the air just escapes out of the side. One of these: http://www.amazon.com/TSI-Cheetah-Bead-Seating-Tool/dp/B000VNHWUM And you use it like this: You can also use them to blow the candles out on an 'oldies' (over 40 ) birthday cake but they don't half take offence! That's the thing, although the young lad at the tyre centre I went too seemed to have made his own, possibly as a result of that video and an Al-queda manual |
