Servicing can vary over here by quite a lot, some dealers do quote over £500, this dealer is reasonable on most things.

Works out quite expensive for you if you have to service to that criteria Shocked I do about 14,000 miles per year so one annual service.

We sell own branded, Castrol & Mobil oils, in every instance they are based on low margin forum supporting prices, with time on your hands and some supermarket special clearance you may get cheaper but these prices are as good as we can get. Paul Redding

I have always taken along my own oil (Castrol Magnatec in my case) having bought it on the 'bay, Amazon or Asda when they have a deal. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

The main reason I change it is that the landrover service schedule that is used in Australia is the same one used in the UK

I can quite understand more frequent changes in Australia, but the recommended service interval here for the FL2 is 15,000 miles (24,000 km), where as you mention a LR service interval of 10 - 12,000 km above? So changing every 5,000 km is nearly 5 times the UK service interval, which seems a lot.

Not in Australia its not, or at least not as far as I can see..its every 12000 according to my service book and the dealer.

Different markets have different Service intervals which (AFAIK) either every 12000km or every 24000km

Doka I have a MY 13 model and the service interval here OZ has been upgraded to 12 months or 24000 KLMS. They changed service intervals somewhere between the models. I will probably get the first service done by a dealer once and once only just in case there is a software upgrade after that Davis LR then do it myself, I already have 20 liters of Valvoline 5-30 FE sitting in the shed that fell of the back of a truck and I was lucky enough to catch it.
