Agree, the fog lights are on the van, but I believe they also remain on the car - is this a problem? 2011 XS SD4, Indus Silver (Getting to love it more and more)

Not sure on the law, but the rear red glow could be off putting

But then in 10 year of 'vanning I have never needed to switch my fogs on Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

What you have is aftermarket electrics fitted, non of the refinements that the LR electrics would give you and on dodgy ground should you have electrical problems in the future regarding warranty. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
Witter detachable

Hi Jimski,
Just wondered how you are progressing?
If you have tools and some DIY skills then specific to the Witter only that you can fit the towbar yourself with absolutely no cutting whatsoever. The electrics; if you buy real LR you can also fit yourself. There is a bit of fiddle factor with the socket(s) of your choice is a bit tricky as the brackets are designed to bolt to a Brink.
Good luck with your decision
Kind regards from Fred
.
PS I am still wanting a LR passenger side step either damaged or as new. 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,
Other cars:-
1958 & 1959 Austin J40 Pedal Cars under restoration (I make many J40 parts)
If you have an Austin J40 or Pathfinder Pedal Car looking for a new home pls PM me.

AD210358 - I realise that this is aftermarket and may affect warranty should there be any electrics problems around the rear of the car, but I paid probably 25% of what LR wanted for their towbar and electrics, so prepared to take that chance. The detachable towbar is a really neat unit and better than the Witter outfit I had fitted to my previous ca (Honda CRV). 2011 XS SD4, Indus Silver (Getting to love it more and more)

Martin, no problem, just check your Towbar hitches up and your happy how the van sits, there was a member on here a couple of years back who had a Towtrust detachable fitted and he wasn't happy how low his van sat Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Thanks - will do. On the first CRV I had with a Witter tow bar, the van had a definite "nose down" look when it was hitched, even though the noseweight was well within limits. The next CRV, again with a Witter detachable was bang on level. Will check out when we hitch up next week. Thumbs Up 2011 XS SD4, Indus Silver (Getting to love it more and more)
