Hi all, long time lurker having moved to FL2 territory in October last year with the purchase of my MY12 TD4 XS in Fireze red.
Firstly, these boards have been a fantastic source of information prior to buying my FL2 so a big thank you to everyone here.
Secondly, I've just bought LED bulbs all round (although the tail/stop ones are the wrong fit) and they look fantastic. The indicators are much brighter than the filament ones and completely fill the reflector with solid light, looks great. Trouble is the indicators now flash too quickly since they don't drain as much current, although the ones I bought are canbus compatible which I thought would have prevented this.
Anyway, further reading suggests that I can replace the flasher unit with one that is LED compatible but I have no idea where the existing flasher unit is to be able to identify 3 or 4 pin and change it.
For reference, the bulbs I bought are these: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/581-Ultim...=car
Can anyone help please?
TIA

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you will find a 'flasher' relay on the FL2, the signal to flash comes via the CEM (Central Electronics Module) and switches a FET.

Thanks for the reply. Shame really as a replacement relay would have been the most elegant solution.
One more question. I have load resistors coming next week but I'm not entirely happy with splicing them on to the + and - wires on the harness; would they still do their job if I was to fit each end into the bulb holder in some way? E.g. squeeze one end under the contact for + and the other squeezed in to the ground plane on the bulb. Also, would any ground surface work or does it have to be directly connected to the bulb circuit?
TIA
