France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black
Turbo "overspeed"

My 07 TD4 (47000miles) is running fine and the fuel consumption is excellent. However, on a routine diagnostic check this morning it is throwing code P049-15 which is "turbine overspeed" and "solenoid circuit open". The fault shows as "temporary" and when I clear it and run the engine it does not immediately come back. The message centre shows no messages or "i".

Any ideas what is occurring here? John

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Hi mate, on one of my previous cars the boost solenoid was faulty, this caused the turbo to over boost and cut fuel to the engine. Your problem sounds like something similar 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE
