Passenger door lock!

Sometimes our front passenger door will not open with the remote. Other times it works perfectly. I think it needs lubricating somewhere. Any ideas please? 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Funny you should mention this. My rear passenger door lock was doing the same and replaced under warranty about 3 weeks ago. The cars going back in tomorrow as the drivers rear door locks playing up so they can do that under warranty to. Hope you get yours sorted. I have a feeling jLR had a bad batch of door locks as my XF had two of its locks done also.

Either that or I am a door lock killer Smile HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Auto Sumatra Black

Ive just had mine done. It started not working in very strong sun light. It got worse in just over a couple of months. Anouying thing was it was just 2 months out of warranty. I got a contribution from LR of 33%. I'm not going to stress if the other 3 locks will do it, i'm just a little disappointed that in 20 years of motoring this has happened to the most expensive car I have bought. Other than that I love my FL2. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Yeah I didn't fancy doing it myself. Part from local dealer was 87 quid. I've read another thread on here somewhere about how all the parts prices have gone up 40%. Scandalous! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
