I know a lot of freelys have this as standard Big Cry But I had to pay-out for mine... Not that much at a snip I thought at £45,,,, cant believe LR charge 100s for a few bits of plastic Whistle

I was happy when I unpacked it and saw the finish, here's a close up shot of it

I fitted the same silver horizontal trim parts earlier this year to my GS. The gear lever already had silver trim around it. I wasn't too keen on the radio surround so I didn't bother with it.

BTW, there were two slightly different glove box trims, and I couldn't tell which to use as they both seemed to fit. So I just plumped for one of them and stuck it on.

Looks good. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

I thought the same thing bug Question had 2 glove trims Confused
But trying them both only one seemed to cover all the old trim on the glove box against the door side.. Seemed to have a bigger lip

As for the gear trim I never stuck mine down as it seemed to clip in place,,, ill live with it for a while to see if I like it and if I don't I can easily remove it Thumbs Up

I quite like the radio trim as it brings the gear lever trim in to the dash trim BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Slaneydore - thank goodness, I thought it was just me that liked this alloy trim kit!

I bought my MY12 GS as a dealer pre-registered job. It had a few extra options on it and a few grand off the price. The bit I didn't like was the interior - too much black plastic for my liking. The alloy kit has helped with that and made a big difference to me, although I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste. At £45 I was happy, but I wonder how many Land Rover ever sold at the full price which I've seen quoted at nearly 500 quid! Surprised

The only bit of the dash which still really offends me is the big ugly, Fisher-Price style hazard warning lights button. Bloody great red blob right in the middle of the car. Hate it. If it was black it would be fine, but being red it looks cheap and nasty to me.

Still, musn't grumble. Smile

Mark

P.S. I haven't stuck my gear stick surround down yet either! Laughing

A nice mod, but I just had to remove my silver trim. I think alloy effect trim has had it's day. Looks very dated. Sorry. Confused

But..... I Have heard a rumour from within LR that they may be bringing out an overlay kit like this, but in Piano black! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
